Prof. Victoire de Margerie
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board – She has significant experience relevant to the Company’s business strategy in the target industries of advanced materials, sustainable transportation and infrastructures for electrification both in executive and non-executive positions.
Her executive experiences at Arkema and Pechiney include developing businesses in new territories such as Scandinavia and Eastern Europe in the late 80s as well as building production capacities in Germany and the United States in the 90s. Since 2012 she is the Founder, main shareholder & Executive Chairman of Rondol (small scale machinery for Pharma).
She started as a non-executive in the late 90s, has served on international boards such as Italcementi (Italy), Morgan Advanced Materials (UK), Norsk Hydro (Norway) and Outokumpu (Finland) and is now on the boards of advanced materials company Arkema (France), engineering & defense specialist Babcock International (UK) and investment fund Eurazeo (France).
She is also the Founder & Vice Chairman of the « Davos » of Materials, World Materials Forum, that gathers every year since 2015 the world of top CEOs of MultiNationals & Start Ups as well as Scientists, Public Bodies and NGOs all involved in designing and implementing solutions to decouple economic growth and the use of the natural resources and materials.
Prof. De Margerie graduated from HEC Paris (in a combined degree with Bocconi University and New York University) in 1983 and from Sciences Po Paris in 1986. She obtained her PhD in Law (Strategy and Governance) from Université de Paris 2 in 2007 and she is a member of the National Academy of Technologies of France since 2020.
Mrs. Elisa Zanarotto
The Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board where she is the official representative of the Company’s major shareholder. She has been a member of the Management board since 2016 and was instrumental in converting the company into a public company late in 2020.
Mrs. Zanarotto brings to the board a notable experience in consulting services for companies interested to expand into new international markets with a focus in strategic analysis and market entry plans, constitution of legal entities, analysis and application of possible tax benefits. She was a Senior Consultant at Broggini do Brasil between 2011 and 2015 where she developed a recognized expertise for foreign companies willing to establish on the US market.
Mrs. Zanarotto graduated in International Affairs from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi Brazil in 2012.
Mr. Claudio Debertolis
He is a figure of the Defence Industry in Italy as well as in France, Brazil and Israel.
He enrolled in the Air Force Academy as a cadet pilot in 1970 and in 1975 served as a fighter pilot in the NATO Air Defence. He was then chosen to become a test pilot and completed the test pilot training course at the USAF Advanced Test Pilot School, Edwards Air Force Base (California), to then be posted to the Italian Air Force Experimental Flight Wing in 1979 where he covered various assignments, becoming the wing Commander in 1992. After the period of active duty as a pilot, he was assigned to the central Defence organization, dealing with research and development matters and new modernization programs.
From 1994 he pursued a complete career in different positions and assignments up to four-star Lieutenant General. Among them Chief of the operations in the Air Staff, deputy chief of Cabinet of Ministry of Defence, and as final position he became MoD Secretary General and NATO National Armament directors. In this assignment he was responsible of Defence material procurement of Military Research Plan and of negotiation and implementation of international industrial agreements with allied countries.
He retired in 2013 due to age limits regulation and started a period of activities as consultant for several defence industries, among them Finmeccanica Leonardo and Safran.
Mr. Franco Martinelli
He is an English chartered accountant with extensive experience in the engineering sector. He joined the Company’s Supervisory Board in January 2021.
Mr. Martinelli has spent the last 18 years with Babcock International (FTSE 250), first as Group Financial Controller and then as Chief Financial Officer. In his capacity he has ensured growth as well as resilience and stability in a sector where many peers have experienced significant financial difficulties.
Before joining Babcock in 2002, Mr. Martinelli served in senior financial positions at Powell Duffryn (FTSE 250) from 1995 to 2002 and prior to this at Courtauld Coatings from 1993 to 1995and previously at HSBC, BP and EY Mr. Martinelli graduated in Physics from University of Exeter in 1985.
Mr. Roberto D’Ayala Valva
He is a member of the supervisory board and holds an honours degree in Business Administration from LUISS GC University (1999) and a postgraduate degree in Company Rating from SDA Bocconi. He is a tax advisor as well as a certified accountant at Studio d’Ayala Valva & Associati in Rome and a member of the Register of the Italian Auditors and Member of the Chartered Accountants of Rome County Court. Mr. D’Ayala Valva is an adjunct professor of Business Economics and Tax Law at the Comando Scuola Ispettori e Sovritendenti della Guardia di Finanza in L’Aquila.
At present, Mr. D’Ayala Valva is the chairman and member of board of auditors and in charge of statutory audits for Aeronautical Service, as well as chairman and member of the board of auditors and in charge of statutory audits for a real estate company, Darob and alternate auditor of the board of statutory auditors for real estate company, Gabetty Property Solutions SPA. Furthermore, for the past ten years, Mr. D’Ayala Valva has been the sole director of industrial holding company Newco FM SRL. and real estate company Immobiliare Siro SRL. Furthermore, Mr. D’Ayala Valva is involved in employee supplementary health care brokers Casbi as chairman and member of supervisory board as well as Brokers Italiani Mutua Societa’ di Mutuo Soccorso as chairman of the supervisory board. Additionally, Mr. D’Ayala Valva is the chairman and member of the board of auditors for the agricultural company Agricola Sagrivit Ltd and member of the board of the non-profit organisation Valverde Foundation.
Mr. Nicolas Petrovic
He is a member of the supervisory board, who is a highly effective European CEO who designs and executes shareholder value-creating strategies by focusing on customer-oriented culture, strong brand, and digitalized customer experience; able to manage complex relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders (private and state shareholders, economic and safety regulators, Unions, Governments, EU). Mr. Petrovic speaks four laguages: French, Italian, German and Mandarin.
Mr. Petrovic has eminent executive track. From 2018 to date as a Chief Executive Officer at Siemens France, BeLux, NW Africa (Paris) with EUR 3.5 turnover and 8,000 employees. 2010 – 2018 as a Chief Executive Officer at Eurostar International Ltd (London) with MGBP 990 turnover, a company employing 3,000 employees. 2005 – 2010 as a Chief Operating Officer at Eurostar UK Ltd (London). 2003 – 2005 as a Director of Customer Services at Eurostar UK Ltd (London). 1993 – 2002 was at French High Speed Trains (TGV) SNCF (Paris) and climbed career ladder from Marketing Manager to General Secretary of the TGV business. 1992 – 1993 was Business Development expert at Veolia (ex-Générale des Eaux) (Taiwan).
Nicolas graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) in 1991 and obtained a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD in 2003.
Mr. Antonio Sedino
The Chief Executive Officer and the major shareholder of the Company – He has significant experience in developing innovation from the research bench to the operational scale as well as financing this development with the most appropriate schemes that can create, enhance and maintain the motivation of all associated stakeholders.
Since 2010, Mr. Sedino is registered at the Register of Experts in Innovation at the Italian Ministry of Research, with expertise in the fields of automation, instrumentation, electronic components, telecommunications, computer science, machinery and mechanical engineering.
He has created Ixellion AS in 2016 and brought it in 4 years to a company with 2 billion EUR worth of assets with nearly no debt and a portfolio of technologies in his fields of expertise. He just announced the imminent launch of an electric engine with innovative characteristics for all types of applications such as propulsion for torpedoes, marine propulsion, traction for motorcycles, for cars, for helicopters, for drones etc. or in the generator configuration for Waste to Energy plants.
His ambition is now to build on the trend of new materials and electrification and create an industrial group that will grow sound and fast thanks to a good mix of organic development and targeted acquisitions.
Mr. Sedino graduated in Industrial Design from the Politecnico di Milano in 2006. He obtained a Master Honoris Causa from Malta Universitas Sancti Cyrilli in economic and financial sciences in 2019. He is a Registered Expert in Innovation at the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research since 2006.
Mr. Marescotti Ruspoli
Deputy CEO – Strategy and Development – He has been active as a serial entrepreneur setting up small companies and selling them in the field of automotive, industrial maintenance and renewable energy. He also participated as an advisor in M&A processes for an aggregated value of ca 800million EUR.
Mr. Ruspoli joined the Company from Aeronautical Service, an Italian Research Center developing custom nano-structured composites for extreme tasks where he served as President since 2017. Prior to Aeronautical Service, he gathered a great experience of business development as the CEO of a waste to energy start up based in Italy and previously as the CEO Asia of Piaggio Group, based in Honk Kong between 1992 and 1995 after beginning his career in Accenture in 1990.
Mr. Ruspoli served as an Officer with the Italian paratroops employed in peacekeeping missions in Lebanon in the early 80s before studying economics at the University of Rome, La Sapienza where he graduated « summa con laude” in 1988.
Mr. Cristiano Bordignon
Deputy CEO – Operations and Technology – He was the Founder, CEO and main shareholder of Aeronautical Service – Custom nano structured composites for extreme tasks – until it was acquired by the Company. Mr. Bordignon is a visionary entrepreneur with a strong experience in turning his vision into industrial reality while motivating a qualified operations team.
Prior to Aeronautical Service, Mr. Bordignon was a top-level executive in world known organizations and corporations in the field of aerospace (Scientific Advisor to Alenia Aermacchi, to the Italian Air Force Chief of Staff and to Mecaer Aviation Group, CEO of Umbra Technologies and CEO of Air Force Services, Board Member & CTO of Magneti Marelli Avio).
Mr. Bordignon received many prizes and awards from the community of Aerospace and Advanced Materials including the JEC Composites Award in 2004 and the World Materials Forum Coup de Cœur in 2019. In 2012 he was also honoured to write the National Research Plan for the Aerospace sector for the Italian Ministry of Research.
Mr. Bordignon graduated in GeoPhysics at University of Roma, La Sapienza in 1985 and he received a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Roma, La Sapienza in 2008 and a Master’s Degree in High Studies for Defence from IASD in 2011.

He contributes to the Management Board of the Company where he brings his invaluable experience as a starting investor in major development projects in Africa, Middle East and Asia.
HH Sheikh Al Maktoum is also the Chairman of Al Areen International Group, the leading provider of marine fittings, lifting and mooring products in the Middle East.
HH Sheikh Al Maktoum is a prominent member of the Dubai Royal Family – Al Maktoum Dynasty.
Mr. Jean-Marc Lucien Janailhac
He contributes to the Management Board of the Company where he brings his invaluable experience as an entrepreneur and as an early-stage investor in sustainable development projects.
Mr. Janilhac served 17 years as a business development executive in the Veolia Group mostly in Southern Europe and especially Italy before joining Macquarie Capital as a Senior Advisor in 2016. He is a respected and seasoned non-executive in the field of renewable energies.
Mr. Janailhac graduated from HEC Paris in 1977 and received a Master’s Degree in Defence Studies from IHEDN in 1995.
